木筏上有一台收音機。轉開它會有聲音——世界上某個地方真的有人在放的東西。

有時候海上會漂來一封信。信上只有一句話，但它帶著寫信的人當時的處境：他在多遠的地方、那封信寫了多久、他那邊的天氣、他當時在聽哪一台。

你可以寫一句回去。它會漂很久，而且不一定漂到你想的那個人那裡。

你也可以什麼都不寫，只是躺著聽。那也是在用它。

You wake on a raft, already at sea.

There is a radio on the raft. Turn it on and something plays — a real station, somewhere in the world, playing right now.

Now and then a letter drifts in. One line, and with it where the writer was: how far away, how long the letter took, the weather there, the station they had on.

You can write one line back. It will drift for a long time, and not necessarily to the person you had in mind.

You can also write nothing and just lie there and listen. That counts too.
